Lily bloomed

We were thrilled to see a lily bud. It's the first bud after we bought the plant home. I managed to capture the different phases of the flower's bloom. And, yes, we were home that day; otherwise, would have missed to see the flower bloom fully. That's all for today. :-)

I need help with that hibiscus plant of mine (yet again!). This time, there are several buds, but they are all dropping off just as they reach the flowering stage...what do I do?

  3. Hi Asha,

Lovely lillies indeed.. Just had a question in mind, do u have a fertilisation routine that you use on these plants.. I have 2 lillies at home but they just dont seem to get any buds on them.. And one more thing, do we have to constantly changing the water from the pots... Kindly give your valuable inputs...

  5. Hello Dhivya,

Thanks! Some people use liquid fertilizer for water plants. When I planted these plants, I used a lot of manure (along with soil mixture). This was an advice that I received from a seasoned gardener.

I haven't fertilized them recently. These plants also need sunlight. Are they getting enough?

And about changing the water in the containers, I do. As the water level decreases due to evaporation, I add fresh water (just enough for the leaves to float on the surface).

    I hope this info helps.

    Regards,
    Asha

Hi friends,

Thanks for visiting the blog site. Please leave a message to share experiments at your garden or to send me a feedback about my experiments. Even a simple "Hello" would make my day!

Asha
