Riot of Colors - Women's Day Special!

Happy Women's Day!

I promised you that I would share photos of the flowers on our terrace garden, and here they are! Yes, it's such a riot of colors. I'm glad that some of my plants recovered or are recovering after the pest raid. I'm really trying to keep the plants pest-free, but they come right back and suck the nutrients from the plants. I guess that I'll have to spray pesticide during this weekend also.

Participating in Tootsie's Fertilizer Friday!

I have intentionally left out the bougainvillea flowers and the anthuriums. Will post about them later.

Photo of one anthurim with an insect sitting on it... :)

Enjoy your weekend.

Regards,
Asha

  1. It looks like a praying mantis on your anthurium. If you spray pesticide it will kill this voracious bug eater. He's a good guy!

    1. Thanks, Margaret. I use Neem oil as a spray. But, yes, I need to be careful not to destroy the good guys.

    1. Thanks, Stephanie. I was comparing the photos of flowers previous season to this season; I agree that the hues are deeper. Is it the vermi compost?

    1. Thanks, Sage Butterfly! This is the first season that the praying mantis has visited the garden. And you know what... The mantis has company; two of them now. :)

Hi friends,

Thanks for visiting the blog site. Please leave a message to share experiments at your garden or to send me a feedback about my experiments. Even a simple "Hello" would make my day!
