Lalbagh holds flower shows twice a year - India Independence Day and Republic Day. Every year the theme is different. You can see the August 2011 flower show photos here: http://rake-and-spade.blogspot.in/2011/08/lalbagh-flower-show-aug-2011.html, and that of January 2012 here: http://rake-and-spade.blogspot.in/2012/01/lalbagh-flower-show-january-2012.html
As always, the flower show was packed with people. One good arrangement made this time was that vehicle parking wasn't allowed inside the garden; other parking areas were identified. The main attraction was the beautiful floral float. There were stalls that sold plants, seeds, and other things. Based on my previous experiences, I decided not to buy bulbs or seeds; they don't seem to bloom flowers.
Was nice to stroll around and admire a variety of flowers. Sharing a few photos with you.
